Curfew imposed as End bad governance protest turns violent

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Kano State Government has imposed 24 hours curfew in the state as the #EndBadGovernance Protest turned into a violent riot with several properties set alight in the state.
Unspecified numbers of people were also reported to have been killed in the state. Our reported spotted one of the protester who was being led away in pool of his blood by friends after a receiving a hail of bullets from the Nigerian Police Force.
Among the properties set alight is headquarters of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the state. The Digital Innovation Park in Kano State build by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC slated for launch to support technical talent accelerator was set ablaze and looted by the angry youths.
Some of the aggrieved youths were also seen damaging traffic lights and other public buildings including the Kano State Government House, which was besieged by a crowd of protesters
The protest also turned violent in Nyana where police fired teargas and live bullets into a crowd of protesters injuring many in the process.
Many were also arrested by officials of the Nigerian Police Force deployed to strategic places across the federation.
