DOHA – Osama Hamdan, the spokesman of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas has said that there is no real will on the part of the United States of America to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, Osama Hamdan said that the United States’ proposal tabled in Doha does not include any ceasefire or troops’ withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
He said that the ongoing negotiations have not yet mentioned the names of the Palestinian prisoners, adding that any potential ceasefire must guarantee clear criteria, including Palestinian prisoners’ freedom.
Hamdan also added that the US is trying to give the occupying regime enough time to carry out more massacres.
According to him, Qatar, Egypt and the United States, as mediators of the ceasefire talks, declared the end of the negotiations in the Qatari capital Doha in a joint statement on Friday but that the team will continue the meeting on Monday.
