GAZA- The lives of captives held by the Palestinian Resistant Movement, Hamas are now in danger and it seems the movement can no longer guarantee their safety following the military tactics now being deployed by Israeli Defence Forces, IDF in directing attacks at the civilian population, which led to the massacre of over 100 civilians during dawn prayers at the Al-Tabaeen school in Central Gaza.
Hamas had insisted that not even one fighter was killed in the Al-Tabaeen school massacre, adding that the names in the list circulated by the IDF were fighters eliminated in previous operations.
A pointer to this occurred earlier today when obviously angry Hamas fighters in charge of some of the captives opened fire in two separate incidents killing one captive on the spot, and injuring two women captives.
In a statement, Hamas leader Mahmoud Mardawi said
“what happened with the occupation’s captives in Gaza is a result of the massacres and assassination operations”, adding that the occupation bears direct responsibility for the killing of its prisoners in Gaza.
“Our policy is to safeguard the occupation’s prisoners and protect their lives”, he said.
The “two female captives were seriously injured, and attempts are being made to save their lives”, Hamas added.
According to Hamas, the “zionist government bears full responsibility for these massacres and the resulting reactions that affect the lives of zionist captives.
“A committee has been formed to investigate the details, and the findings will be announced later” the statement said.
Reacting to the incident, Spokesman of IDF, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said IDF currently does not have any intelligence information that allows the force to refute or confirm Hamas’ claims.
“We will continue to examine and verify the credibility of the message and will update with any more information that we obtain”
