Secret Service, Police informed about assailant before Trump was shot – Pennsylvania man
PENNSYLVANIA – Members of the Secret Service, SS and policemen present at the rally in Butler Farm, Pennsylvania where former President of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump was shot were informed about the presence of a man armed with a rifle on roof of a building some few metres away from the venue, a Pennsylvania man has alleged.
The man who spoke to BBC at the venue of the rally said he and other bystanders saw the man on the roof armed with a rifle and they informed the SS officers and policemen but that they were ignored.
The man, a Trump supporter said he and others were under the shade but couldn’t see the man but could hear him speak and decided to walk some minutes towards the building, saw him crawling and could see him about 50 feet away from us.
“We were pointing at him, he was with the rifle and the policemen were there turning round and we said there is a guy on the roof with a rifle and they said what do you know.
“We were pointing at the roof, the Secret Service were looking at us and I was saying why are they not getting him out of the stage and the next thing a shot was fired from there”, he said.
The man, who is a Trump supporter said the shooter was on the building for about three or four minutes.
He said the armed man was shot dead on top of the building after he fired the shot at Trump.
He said the venue was such a small place and wondered why the SS men were not on every building.
A reporter with Spectator also died during the rally
