Former IDF Spokesman resigns as Hamas confirms killing 10 Israeli soldiers
GAZA – Former spokesman of the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF, Brigadier General Ran Kokhav Ranjo has announced his resignation from the Israeli army.
He is the latest in the series of resignations to hit Israel as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues his genocidal war in Gaza.
Ranjo resigned just as the Al-Qassam Brigade, one of the units under the resistance force, Hamas announced that it has killed 10 Israeli soldiers.
According to the group, the 10 soldiers were killed in the Shuja”iya neighbourhood when the Israeli forces stormed the area.
The group said it has intensified attacks on soldiersband snippers in the area.
It also announced that the Israeli Forces are currently targeting Jenin Refugee camp. killing young men and women which has resulted in the death of seven Palestinians.
Meanwhile the IDF said there was the presence of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist infrastructure, operatives, weapons and detention rooms in the area of Gaza City, including in the UNRWA headquarters.
The statement added that soldiers have operated in the area in the past in order to eliminate terrorists and destroy an underground tunnel route below the compound.
“With the start of the operation, the IDF called on and warned civilians about the operational activity in the area, and a defined route will be opened to facilitate the evacuation of uninvolved civilians from the area”, the IDF said, adding that Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations continue to systematically operate and carry out terrorist activity from inside civilian infrastructure.
IDF Spokeswoman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the IDF will continue to operate against the terrorist organizations in accordance with international law.
