OIC, TIKA sign MoU to promote bilateral cooperation

JEDDAH – His Excellency Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and His Excellency Mr Serkan Kayalar, President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation on development projects and humanitarian assistance in OIC Member States.

The MoU was signed today, Wednesday, June 05, 2024

This MoU, signed within the framework of the official working visit of the TIKA President to the OIC, is a milestone in the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between the OIC and the Republic of Turkiye.

It will govern and frame the implementation of development projects, technical assistance activities, and humanitarian aid provision in OIC Member States affected by humanitarian crises.

As part of the visit, the Humanitarian Affairs Department of the OIC General Secretariat as well as the Islamic Solidarity Fund held working meetings with the TIKA delegation to study modalities of diligent implementation of the MoU.
