TEL AVIV – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF was thrown into mourning on Saturday morning following the gruesome death of eight soldiers in Namer CEV engineering vehicle.
Already the IDF has began investigating circumstances surrounding the burning to death of 8 soldiers in a Namer CEV engineering vehicle.
We gathered that the soldiers were driving around in convoy around 5:am after a bloody overnight operation against Hamas in northwestern areas of Rafah’s Tel Sultan neighbourhood when the engineering armoured personnel carrier conveying the soldiers suddenly exploded.
The eight soldiers aboard the tanker were completely charred in the “Panther” armoured personnel carrier conveying them.
The intense explosion caused the tanker to burn for several minutes. The IDF we gathered, could not pull the damaged armoured personnel carrier to a safe area until 2 hours later, and when they did the soldiers were charred beyond recognition.
The IDF is already investigating the cause of the fatal explosion. However, there was no gunfire amid the incident, and the vehicle was in motion when the explosion occurred, the probe found.”
Waseem Mahmoud from Beit Jinn in Galilee, who works in the engineering forces, is alleged to
be one of those killed in the explosion.
