GAZA – At least 13 soldiers in the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF have lost their lives in the last 48 hours in Gaza, following attacks by the Al Qassam Brigades.  

The death toll climbed to 13 just as the IDF admitted that two others were killed today in the battles in southern Gaza, one from the Nahal Brigade and the other from the engineering weapon, the figures have all been confirmed in a statement  by the IDF.

Meanwhile the Government Media Office in Gaza has said that over 16,000 children have been killed by the IDF since October 7, when Israel invaded Gaza in revenge for the death of 1,139 Israelis killed by Hamas.

The Media Office is also demanding opening of the Rafah crossing to provide needed aids for the starving population.,

“The talk about a tactical cessation to the war is an “israeli” lie. We are still demanding the opening of the Rafah crossing to provide for the needs of the population, especially in the northern Gaza Strip. The situation in the northern Strip is dire due to the lack of food and medicine.

“More than 16,000 children have been killed by the occupation during the ongoing war on the Strip”, the government media office said. 

It added that the occupation is destroying the Rafah crossing halls, which residents used to exist the Gaza Strip, stressing that the destruction of the Rafah crossing halls by the occupation is part of its crimes in the Strip.

“We call for the prosecution of the occupation criminals, including political leaders and military officials. The Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood is subjected to daily demolition and bombing due to the occupation’s fear of resistance movements there”, the media office said.
