One dead in Hezbollah ambush on Israeli Defence Forces, IDF

LEBANON – At least one Israeli has been confirmed dead, following an ambush carried out by Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed resistant group on the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF in the border area with Israel.
The IDF however says the person dead was a civilian.
In a statement, Hezbollah identified the officer killed as Sharif Suad that was killed when Hezbollah fired anti-tank missiles at the at the Occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms last light.
But in a statement, the IDF identified the casualty of the attack as a civilian doing infrastructure work but did not give the name.
“Overnight, terrorists fired anti-tank missiles toward the area of Har Dov in northern Israel. As a result, an Israeli civilian doing infrastructure work was injured and he was later pronounced dead”, he said.
He added that overnight, IAF fighter jets struck Hezbollah terror in the area of Chebaa in southern Lebanon, including a weapons storage facility and a launcher.
“ In addition, IDF soldiers fired to remove a threat in the area. Furthermore, IAF fighter jets struck Hezbollah operational infrastructure in the area of Kfarchouba and a military compound in the area of Ain El Tineh in southern Lebanon”, the IDF said.
