Muslim worshippers hold Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque
GAZA – After some pushing and shoving and initial attempts to stop them, residents of Gaza finally arrived at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform Isha and Taraweeh prayers in the first day of Ramadan.
However, the Al-Am’ari Camp Brigade is wishing fellow Muslims acceptable fasting.
The fasting did not however go without incidents.
Apart from the bombings carried out by the occupation forces, an eye witness relates an an unfortunate experience.
“On the first day of Ramadan, while we were sitting at the Suhoor table, we heard the sound of heavy shelling.
“We left the food, and went to the target place, and we pulled 3 martyrs from under the rubble, 11 injured, and there are still 14 people missing under the rubble.
“This is how Gaza receives Ramadan”, the eye witness said.
