AGN confirms death of Mr. Ibu

LAGOS, Nigeria-  Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN has confirmed that the comic actor, John Okafor, alias Mr. Ibu is dead.

President Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas, who confirmed the incident said,  Charles Okafor’s Manager,  for 24 years, Mr. Don Single  Nwuzor informed him that Mr. Ibu  suffered cardiac arrest.

“I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr. Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace”, he said.

Mr. Ibu has been battling with ailments that lead to amputation of his leg for months, a situation that made his family to publicly appeal to Nigerians to make donations to save his life.

Several millions were donated in his behalf  but his family failed to fly him abroad as earlier announced.
