MOSCOW – The Investigative Committee on the terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall where 137 people were killed have submitted a preliminary report on the killing.
This occurred just as four suspects with various degrees of injury appeared in Russian Court on Sunday. The suspects are aged between 19 and 32, most of them from Tajikistan.
They have been detained for two months after the pre-trial hearing to await former trial on charges of terrorism which carries life jail term.
Meanwhile, the Investigative committee led by Alexander Bastrykin has reported the outcome of his operation meeting with his team.
According to him, investigative actions are underway with the accused adding that information is being established about the preparation and execution of the terrorist attack, about the accomplices and organisers;
“As part of the case, including on seized material evidence, complex forensic examinations are assigned and carried out;
“The investigative team has been instructed to continue interrogating witnesses, including Crocus employees;
“ A detailed analysis of documents and other data is required to establish how emergency warning systems worked and whether people could quickly leave the building through emergency exits”, his committee said.
