Again, IPMAN begs Soludo to pay members N901 million debt

AWKA, Nigeria – The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has again appealed to Gov. Charles Soludo of Anambra to save its members’ from economic crunch by offsetting government indebtedness to them.
IPMAN Enugu Depot Community made the call in a letter of reminder to Soludo on Friday When it called for the payment of of the sum N901 million to members who supplied diesel and other services for streets streetlights in the state.
The letter which was signed by Mr Chinedu Anyaso and Mr Nnaemeka Iloafor, Chairman and Secretary respectively said the appeal followed the resolution reached at the Annual General Meeting of IPMAN on February 15th, 2024.
According to IPMAN, sequel to several previous letters written to governor’s office, other government and security agencies on the above subject matter nothing came out of them.
The statement further stated that after all fruitless efforts,IPMAN resolved to write this further letter of appeal to the governor.
“This is based on a report that our members are yet to be paid the debt of N900, 664,805.00
for diesel supplied and services rendered in respect of street lights.
“Governor, we kindly appeal further for your intervention by settling this outstanding indebtedness to enable our dying members recover and continue their businesses.
to follow thereafter.
“Another general meeting has been scheduled at Awka in three weeks time to report to our members on the progress made so far to enable us to conclude on what step to take next,” he said.
The marketers thanked Soludo in advance and promised to support his administration to succeed,” he said.
