PALESTINE – The Prime Minister of Palestine, Mohammad Shtayyeh and his government have tendered their resignation letter to the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.
The PM resigned over Israel’s brutal war on the Gaza Strip, which has degenerated into genocide and its apartheid policy in the West Bank. Israel’s war on Gaza has accounted for almost 30, 000 deaths, most of whom are women and children, with over 70,000 others injured.
He said the next stage and its challenges require a new government and political arrangement that takes into account the new reality and extension of the Palestinian Authority over the entire land of Palestine.
Israel has completely turned the Gaza Strip into ruins with no structure inhabitable, farmland destroyed, schools and hospitals either destroyed or rendered inoperational.
Israel has also blocked delivery of humanitarian material into Palestine, forcing the population into starvation with farming imminent.
The precarious situation has forced the Jordanian Air Force to airdrop items on the sea, with many residents rushing in to get all they can to prolong their lives.
All security resolutions aimed at bringing about a ceasefire have all been vetoed by the United States, the principal ally of Israel.
