Adele, British pop star to thrill in concerts in Munich

MUNICH – British singer Adele’s summer tour will bring her to Munich for four concerts in August, her first and only concerts in mainland Europe in several years, the Live Nation events agency announced on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old pop star will perform in a specially created arena at the southern German city’s exhibition centre, Live Nation said.

“I haven’t played in Europe since 2016!” Adele wrote on Instagram. “I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer.”

In Munich, she will perform in a “bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show” she wants to put on, she wrote on Instagram.

According to Live Nation, the arena on the Munich exhibition grounds will offer space for around 80,000 music fans at each of the concerts, scheduled for August 2, 3, 9 and 10.

Registration for ticket sales is now open and will start for registered fans on February 7. Normal advance sales are scheduled to begin on February 9.
