Akeredolu not incapacitated, has somatic ailment – Commissioner

LAGOS, Nigeria – Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju has said that the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN is not incapacitated but has somatic ailment.

Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, who was speaking on Arise News said all she knows is that the governor has lost some weight and cannot play football.

She said the governor is functioning and able to move his hands and that what is happening in Ondo State is actually unwarranted since the governor is able to approve funds and perform other duties.

She said the Ondo State Executive Council feels the governor is not incapacitated and therefore no need for an Independent medical examination of the governor.

The commissioner, who refused to state the exact nature of ailment the governor is going through said it is left to the governor to tell Nigerians the true nature of his ailment.

She said the EXCO may sue Kayode Ajulo, SAN, stressing that Ajulo did not call her to speak to her, neither did he call any member of the EXCO before going to court, adding that the SAN shows up only when there is tiff.
