LEKKI, Lagos, Nigeria – Ahead of the release of the autopsy report conducted by the Nigeria Police Force, NPF on the likely cause of death of talented musician, Oladimeji Promise Aloba alias Mohbad, a hospital source that examined the deceased musician has revealed that tetanus infection and not poison may have killed the musician.

According to the Centre for Disease Control, CDC, tetanus or lockjaw is caused by bacteria called Clostridium tetani. “When the bacteria enters the body, they produce a toxin that causes painful muscle contractions. It causes a person’s neck and jaw muscles to lock, making it hard to open the mouth or swallow”.
We gathered that Mohbad who sustained injuries from his last performance at Ikorodu was kept in the home where an auxiliary nurse visited to administer treatment. The auxiliary nurse has already been arrested by the police.
We were reliably informed that failure to administer tetanus injection to kill the bacteria that may have arisen from his injury may have hastened death of Mohbad.
We are also told by hospital sources at Perez Medicare Hospital that Mohbad was already dead when he was brought to the hospital by his wife and that his body already stiff and that those who brought him were even informed how to figure out a dead person by checking the wrist and other areas of the body.
We gathered that the musician may have been rejected by other hospitals he was initially taken to before he arrived Perez Medicare Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force has announced that autopsy on deceased has been successful but it is yet to make the result public.
