Collins Ozojiofor in a statement sighted by our reporter on Friday said that Comrade Obi is planning to use the tricycle operators and shuttle drivers to shut down Anambra state by staging a protest.
He vowed that , as far as he is concerned comrade Obi cannot lead a protest against government collections of taxes in the state. Ozojior further stated that the leadership of tricycle owners and riders in Awka zone will resist any break down of law and order in the state.
The chairman said that they have already keyed into Anambra tax net of the state and will remain in the tax net so as to enable governor Soludo to meet up with the tempo of development across the 21 local government of the state.
However, immediately after the governor of Anambra State Prof Charles Soludo assumed office last year he banned all transport union in the state.
The statement reads:
” My executive chairman Anambra
internal revenue service (AIRS) my name is prince Collins Ozojiofor the keke tricycle chairman Awka zone,it has gotten to my notice that keke ridders and shuttle drivers are planing for a three days off the road, sir this is engineered by one Mr Osita obi who is neither a shuttle owner or a keke ridder, sir as far as am concerned such a thing can’t happen on my watch.
“We the leadership of keke tricycle owners and riders in Awka zone says no to break down of law and order.we are already keyed into Anambra tax net and we will remain in the tax net so as to enable our governor prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo to meet up with the tempo of development across the 21 local government of the state.
“Sir please beware of Mr Osita Obi who has been coming close to you with a lot of propaganda and solutions he is the problem in transport sector and also an enemy within this present government.Thank you and God bless you sir”
Comrade Osita Obi in his reaction, said that as it stands today, the governor has banned all transport Union in the state.
According to him, nobody elected Ozojior as chairman of Keke rider in Awka and he cannot speak for Keke Riders.
Obi said that the meeting he held today with shuttle drivers was to fashion out ways to pay government the right revenue and not to disrupt the peace being enjoyed in the state.
He said that he believe in what Soludo is doing in the state and he is ready to stake his life to ensuring that all revenue collected get to the government.
“During the meeting today, the State Director, Department of State Services DSS and Chief Security Adviser to Governor sent their Representatives. If I have any thing against the government or any intention to disrupt the peace of the state,I would not have any reason to invite these organisations.
“The only grudge he and his co hort have against me was that I stopped them from feeding fat from the government revenues. They are the revenue scavengers and with what the governor is doing, they cannot continue feeding where did not sow” he said .
According to Obi,Ozojior does not own any Keke in Awka neither does he drive any and he cannot claim to be chairman of organization he has nothing to offer apart from extorting them.

A lie from the pit of Hell…
I plead to the Governor and the commissioner in charge to call on the shuttle drivers to adhere to their cry and do an appropriate investigations regarding to this. Tax payers should equally accord some respects by the enforcement groups(including Agboros) and at the same time give a breathing space to work and pay up to their responsibilities to the government as to continue their good work in Anambra state. How can drivers be paying tax when their vehicles is not on the road working for weeks, months as the case may be.?? I think this and many more needs to be addressed proper. Thank you.
I think the His Excellency the Governor of Anambra State Prof. C. Soludo and the Commissioner in charge should call the drivers and adhere to their cry and at the same time do the appropriate investigations regarding to this.
Tax payers should accord some respects by the enforcement groups claiming working for the state government (including Agboros). And also give drivers breathing space to work and pay up to their responsibilities to the state government as to continue with their good works in the State. Knowing very well that many drivers are on hire purchase and at the same time have other family responsibilities to take care of, considering the recent hike in price of fuel. How can drivers be paying tax when their vehicles is out of road (nor working) for days, weeks, months as the case may be. Please the Governor should look into this and many more to help us have a well conducive working environment in Anambra. Thank you.
