Donald Trump, 18 others indicted by Georgia Grand Jury
GEORGIA – For the fourth time in five months, former President of the United States has been indicted by a Grand Jury in Georgia.
He and his allies were indicted for violating Georgia’s RICO Act or Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations Act.
The indictment comes from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, following an investigation into Trump and his allies’ attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
Willis said the defendants have until noon on Friday, August 25, to surrender themselves to the authority for prosecution.
Donald Trump is named in 13 of the felony charges, including racketeering (under Georgia RICO laws), conspiracy to commit forgery, filing of false documents and soliciting a violation of oath by a public officer.
His allies are theGeorgia are members of Trump’s legal team, including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis.
The indictment includes solicitation of violation of oath by public officers, Impersonating a public officer among other charges.
