DOJ files 37 count criminal indictment against Donald Trump
FLORIDA, United State – The Department of Justice, DOJ today filed criminal indictment against former President of the United State, Mr. Donald Trump.
The 37 counts indictments contained in 44 page documents were filed at the U.S. District Court in Southern Florida.
The indictment also named Walt Nauta, an aide to Trump who served as a White House valet, as a co-conspirator.
Donald Trump is indicted on 37 counts of felony, which includes 31 counts of willful retention of classified documents; one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice and one ccount of withholding a document or record.
Others include one count of corruptly concealing a document or record, one count of concealing a document in a federal investigation, one count of scheme to conceal and one count of making false statements and representations.
Some of the 37 counts charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
Trump appeared in federal district court in Miami on Tuesday via summon for an arraignment.
The charges includes violation of national security laws.
