MUNICH – Bayern Munich officials have had a first meeting with representatives of Napoli defender Kim Min Jae about a transfer to the Bundesliga champions.
Kicker sports magazine and the tz paper spoke of a positive meeting. Kim, 26, is said to have a release clause in his contract at Napoli, who won a first Serie title since 1990 in the past season.
He arriverd in Italy a year ago from Turkey’s Fenerbahce. At the moment he is in South Korea for military duty. Another possible candidate for Munich’s back line is reportedly Spain international Pau Torres from Villarreal.
Kim and Torres could replace France defender Lucas Hernandez who has reportedly told Bayern he wants to leave, amid interest from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
“We would like to keep him but now we must see what the transfer summer brings with it,” Bayern president Herbert Hainer told Sky TV.
