Police slapper, Seun Kuti, arrested, sighted with handcuff at police HQ
IKEJA, Lagos, Nigeria – Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, who shoved and slapped a gentle policeman on duty on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos has been arrested.
Although, it was reported that the musician will show up at the Police HQ in Ikeja, today with his lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, the musician who was wearing a shirt and a jean trouser was sighted in handcuffs at the police headquarters in Ikeja being led to the office of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa.

He was handcuffed backward as part of efforts to curb his youthful exuberance.
Seun Kuti looked quite calm, compared to his demeanor during his encounter with the policeman and his utterance last night on Instagram, where he alleged that he slapped an unarmed officer because his life was in danger and that he has slapped many officers in the past.
Seun is likely to be charged before a magistrate and detained pending when he will be charged before a Lagos High Court.
Speaking on the development, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos, Mr. Benjamin Hundeyin said Seun Kuti turned himself in early this morning in company of his lawyer and family representative.
He said the musician has been placed under arrest.
