UMUAHIA – Abia State All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA has successful conducted ward congress in the state. The congress took place in all 184 wards in the state and it attracted real party faithful, the party has said.

One of the members of state working committee, Amb Onukwubiri Sunday said the Congress was peaceful in all the wards. He commended the state party’s chairman Rev’d Augustine Ehiemere for the peaceful pilot of the affairs of the party in Abia state.

He said in a statement, “Words of gratitude has continued to pour in, and it has been proved that Rev’d Ehiemere is about leaving a legacy by conducting such congress seamlessly. All ward results have been well documented by the returning officers as appointed by the state working committee (SWC).

“The returning officers have shown that no room for compromise in the resolve to maintain a great party for future. Meanwhile, we still observe that destructive godfathersm displayed in some quarters has no bearing as the State leadership are mindful of them as we are used to such stuff, but in all obedient to National policies, guidelines and principles are our weapon for every victorious outing. To God be the glory.

Our thanks to the national leadership who made it possible for our people to display uncommon interest as a result of the declaration that no money should be charged and no contestant should pay money for the congress, not minding that some places where illegal gathering were observed unsuspecting members paid between ₦5000 to ₦10000 from information gathered, but let it be known that time for reckoning is coming.

On behalf of the state working committee under Revd Ehiemere, I, Amb Onukwubiri Sunday, thank all our members who made this candidate”
