Obi won the election, INEC declared Tinubu winner, Simon Ekpa tells UN
FINLAND – The newly elected Prime Minister of Biafra Republic In Exile(BRGIE), Simon Ekpa has said that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi won the February 25, 2023 presidential election but that the Professor Yakubu Mahmood-led Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner of the election.
Simon Ekpa who made the revelation in his letter to the United Nations, UN, alluded to a UN statement which described the general election as revealing ethnic, religious and demographic fault lines, which he said captured the situation in Nigeria that needed redress through a referendum.
According to him, when the Vice President candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Datti Baba-Ahmed spoke on live television, citing irregularities in the election, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Lai Mohammed, through the National Broadcasting Commission, slammed a fine of N5 million on the television station for airing the interview.
“Shameless lying democratic dictator”, he said, adding, “Labour Party also won Lagos State, the big commercial hub of Nigeria, despite disenfranching the Biafra people living in Lagos”, he said.
As a result of the outcome of the election in Lagos, he recalled, “the state sponsored political thugs went on rampage, burning down markets where Biafra people are dominant and their businesses.
“Another market was burnt in Maiduguri, where Easterners (Biafra) people do their businesses. Down in Biafran land, all most all the big markets have been burned down by a combination of government security agencies and the terrorists Fulani herdsmen, all of them conducting economic jihad against the Bifrans.
“At the time of writing and presentation, killings are still going on, burning of peoples homes, markets, churches are being pepetrated by government sponsored terrorists and arsonists in state uniforms”, he alleged.
