MC Oluomo denies threatening non Yorubas, presents Mama Chukwudi as a friend
LAGOS, Nigeria – Chairman Parks Management Committee, Lagos State, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya better known as MC Oluomo has recanted following public outrage that greeted his well circulated video during which he threatened a certain Mama Chukwudi not to come to the polling unit on Saturday during the governorship and house of assembly election if he will not vote for the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
Ironically, his threat came almost the same time that almost all the Obas in Lagos, all paid by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs slatted Oro Festival less than one hour before the election in an unprecedented manner, seen as an attempt by the Lagos State Government to manipulate the election.
In the video, MC Oluomo was very visible, addressing a gathering and openly made the threats that those who will. not vote for APC should rather not come to the polling units.
He was very serious in the video and his message received loud ovation from the audience.
Besides, it was not the first time that MC Oluomo will be making the utterance. He was recorded in video during the Presidential and National Assembly election at his ward in Surulere where he threatened that the area belongs to APC and urged all those who will not vote his party to leave.
But following pressure, MC Oluomo in a new video said he never threatened anybody and said the Mama Chukwudi he alluded to in the video was not directed at any ethnic group but his female friend, who also spoke in English and Igbo language attesting to the testimony of MC Oluomo, a member of the Lagos State Executive Council.
She said the incident has made her a celebrity. In the video, MC Oluomo spoke in English and Yoruba language.
