UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – Stakeholders in Umuahia and leadership of northern states in Abia State have adopted the candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA Prof Gregory Ibe as their Consensus candidate in 2023 election.
The adoption followed a meeting held yesterday in Umuahia, the Abia state capital.
The meeting attracted all well meaning stakeholders in the towns.
The groups which comprise the 19 northern states in Abia State generally adopted him as their preferred candidate for the good work he has done to them even as a private citizen .
They cited Prof Ibe’s philanthropy and commitment to the development of the state as some of the major reason for adopting him.
According to the groups, Prof Ibe had already established a cordial relationship with the Northern towns in Abia State .
They said “Among the things he had done include granting scholarship to their children and providing food palliative especially during the Covid and festive period”.
