Portugal subdues Switzerland 6-1 to pick quarter final ticket

QATAR – Portugal on Tuesday evening rained unending goals on their opponent, Switzerland ending the score fiesta 6-1 to pick a quarter final ticket at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
The goal rain began in the 17th minutes when Goncalo Ramos made it 1-0 for his side when his left foot found the back of the Switzerland net. The leading team continued to be in total control of the fiesta with 57 to 43 percent ball possession.
Pepe made it 2-0 for Portugal in the 33 minutes with a flying header, following fine assist from Fernandez ending the first half 2-0 in favour of Portugal.
Goncalo Ramos made it 3-0 for his side in the 51 minutes when he connected a well placed ball from Dalot. Four minutes later, Guerreiro made it 4-0 for his side after receiving a beautiful pass from Ramos but the celebration did not last long as Akanji pulled one goal back to put scores at 4-1.
The development seemed to have worsened the matter for Switzerland as Portugal kept on the pressure which paid off in the 67th minutes when Ramos connected a fine pass from Felix to put his team in comfortable lead at 5-1.
When Switzerland thought the worse is over, Leao made it 6-1 at injury time, bringing closing scores to 6-1.
