Fidelity Bank brings the very best Nigerian products to London consumers
LONDON – More than 1000 excited attendees are getting ready to explore the tastes, the fashions, and the entertainments of Nigeria at an upcoming event designed to showcase the very best in Nigerian goods and services.
The Fidelity International Trade & Creative Connect exhibition and conference (FITCC) hosted by Nigeria’s leading commercial bank, Fidelity Bank Plc, will offer consumers a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of new international products from Africa, without having to travel abroad.
More than 100 exhibitors have already booked their booths at the event and are ready to bring their offerings to UK consumers, many for the first time.
Attendees can expect to learn more about traditional Nigerian arts and crafts, sample authentic foods from West Africa, discover locally made jewellery, check out the latest in the Nigerian fashion industry, and explore new advancements in African manufacturing and technology.
Highlights include tasty treats from Sulfoodz, who will be dishing up delicious African food including Jollof Rice. DJ Abbas, the host of the Nigerian corner at London Carnival and DJA’s Nigerian Inner Caucus will also be on hand, while designer David Wej and Luxe 41 fashion shows will participate in panel discussions alongside Adebayo Jones. Guests can also join a social media workshop hosted by marketer, Antonella Ragona and a fashion workshop by fashion expert, Karine Laudort. Princess Ronke, the founder of Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) will also be in attendance along with Smade, the creator of popular three-day music festival, Afro Nation.
From body care brands and leather makers to payment services providers and commodity traders, the diverse line-up is expected to make leading African brands household names both in the UK, and across the rest of Europe.
Exhibitors will be offering leaflets and samples throughout the event, providing attendees with a chance to learn more about the brands being showcased. Visitors will be given the opportunity to register for a BVN and open a Fidelity Diaspora account.
Mrs Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at Fidelity Bank Plc, says, “The past few years have seen an unprecedented rise in the number of Nigerians immigrating to the United Kingdom. The Fidelity International Trade and Creativity Connect exhibition and conference was organised by Fidelity Bank Plc, in collaboration with the UK Department for International Trade (DIT), the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and Invest Africa, to strengthen the relationship between the two nations. In addition to exhibitor stands and brand events, the event will also offer opportunities for global investors to connect with Nigerian exporters.
A number of prominent names in Nigerian business are scheduled to deliver engaging talks over the two day event, including Regional Director of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) Aminu Takuma, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIM Bank) Professor Benedict Okey Oramah, and Mustafa Chike-Obi, the pioneer behind AMCON (Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria).
