The CUPP said it will resist every attempt by politicians to reverse the gains of the new Naira notes. The CUPP, which commended the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for its transparency in displaying the voter register at the wards and online said politicians are putting pressure on the powers that be to remove the current INEC chairman, adding that the CUPP will resist attempt.
He said the CUPP has further uncovered irregularities in the INEC register currently on display, adding that in the wards of the governor of Imo State, Mr. Hope Uzodinma and his commissioners, underaged voters with photographs of babies, names of Hausas and Yorubas are more than the names of Igbo people who live in the area.
