IFE, Osun, Nigeria – His Royal Majesty, the Oni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is set to marry his fourth wife, just about one month after taking his third wife, Olori Mariam Anako.
Although, the lively and very good looking king is keeping it as a secret, we gathered that the new queen is no other than his very close friend, Ronke Ademuluyi, with whom he has collaborated when Adire Factory was launched in 2021.
Hint about this development was also shared by revered queen of journalism, Moji Damisa.
The incoming queen is a law graduate and founder of African Fashion Week, London. The AFWL, founded in 2011 is reputed as one of Europe’s promoter of fashion event, nurturing African-inspired design and talent.
The AFWL has led the way in highlighting Africa’s emerging designers and she has been at the forefront of bringing awareness of Africa’s burgeoning fashion industry to the international market.
The Oni married Anako after he took Naomi Silekunola as second wife.
Anako’s marital rite was not elaborate. She was ushered into the palace after brief rites at the entrance to the premises. Reports had it she was led into the inner court of the palace to meet her husband and other guests waiting to receive her.
Ronke Ademuluyi’s marriage, according to a source comes up on Thursday at the palace in Ife, Osun State. Recall that there was a rumour that the Oni and Ronke would be united in holy matrimony about five years ago but nothing has happened since 2016 when the rumour was rife.
