JEZCO Oil & Gas MD donates laptop computers to government
ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – Managing Director/ Chief Executive of Jezco Oil and Gas PLC Chief Eze Okafor has donated 10 laptop computers to Anambra State Ministry of Transport.
Okafor made donation at the office of Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike on Monday in Awka Anambra State. Chief Eze Okafor represented by Nze Azubike Ezechukwu said he was impressed by the laudable programmes and policies of Governor Charles Soludo’s administration.
According to him, the responsibility of building a new Anambra State should not be left for government alone. He said that he is ready to partner Anambra State government for meaningful development.
Receiving brand new laptop computers on behalf of the ministry Mrs Patricia Igwebuike urged Anambra sons and daughters to key into Soludo’s policy to build the spirit of collective social responsibility for an enviable Anambra State.
According to Igwebuike the call for collective responsibility has become more important in the light of Government’s policy on strategic partnership and fruitful collaboration with the Private sector towards building a smart, prosperous and livable mega city in Anambra State.
She said the call by the governor the think home spirit has started yielding fruits with the donation of the brand new laptops by Chief Okafor to the Ministry.
The Commissioner commended the donor for keeping to his promise and appealed to other well meaning Anambraians, corporate organizations and wealthy individuals in the state and beyond to emulate the kind gesture of Chief Okafor and contribute meaningful to uplifting of the State to greater heights.
She however expressed optimism that the kind gesture would go a long way to improve service delivery and productivity to the Ministry’s staff.
Speaking at the occasion, the state Commissioner for Information, Sir. Paul Nwosu harped on the need for every hands to be on deck in the re-awkening the spirit of corporate social responsibility at all levels of governance in the state.
He stressed the importance of advanced technology in the day to day administration of government, noting that technology has come to stay as an internationally accepted best practices.
Paul thanked the Commissioner for Transport for inviting him to witness the spirited efforts of one of their sons . He thanked the donor for his philanthropic gesture and prayed God to reward him abundantly.
Dignitaries that graced the event include the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mrs Louisa Ezeanya, members of the Management Team of JEZCO Group of Companies among others.
