LAGOS, Nigeria – Jehovah’s Witnesses have announced the commencement of their usual House to House witnessing with effect from September 01, 2022.
The Governing Body of the Jehovah’s Witnesses made the announcement during the week. Recall that the Jehovah’s Witnesses suspended the House to House Witness, following the outset of the Coronavirus Pandemic which has killed 6,417,775 patients out of 584,444,869 total cases worldwide.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses suspended the house to house preaching as a result of their respect for the sanctity of life and as part of effort to control the rapid spread of the pandemic.
They also encouraged members to carry out all the measures put in place by governments to minimize transmission such as hand washing, use of sanitizers, wearing of face masks, social distancing and vaccination.
In the past three years, when the Coronavirus pandemic broke out, the Jehovah’s Witnesses suspended in-person meeting and adopted virtual meetings until April 2022 when they started hybrid meeting, both in-person and virtual.
We gathered that they encouraged members with flu or those who have had contact with patients confirmed with the Coronavirus pandemic not to attend in person meetings, but to join the meetings via zoom out of respect for live and love for one another.
Love for one and another and respect for life are issues the Jehovah Witnesses hold so dear based on their conviction from John: 13, 34 and 35 and Psalm 36:9.
“The Governing Body is pleased to announce that the house-to-house preaching work of Jehovah’s Witnesses will resume on September 1, 2022. We pray for Jehovah’s rich blessing to be with all of you as we resume our house-to-house ministry!”, the Jehovah’s Witnesses announced.
