Free medical outreach: Prof. Ibe moves to Abia North Senatorial zone

AWKA, Nigeria – Prof Gregory Ibe Free Medical and Surgical Outreach moves to Abia North Senatorial zone after the completion of the Abia Central Senatorial zone exercise.
This is parts of Prof Ibe programmes to assist in the healthcare services delivery to Abians who cannot afford medical services. This annual exercise has been going on over the years in the state and has been touching lives.
According to a statement issued and signed by Executive Secretary of Gregory Iyke Foundation, organizers of the outreach, Hon Boniface Ikwuagwu, revealed that the Abia North exercise will kick off with a flag off ceremony on Friday 12 August 2022 at the Presbyterian Church premises Ebem Ohafia.
Ikwuagwu said in the statement ,” Having completed the Abia Central edition of our programme where the medical team handled a total of 2511 patients and dispensed 1652 medicated glasses, we are now set to commence the Abia North stanza. Subsequently, on Friday 12 August 2022, representatives of our Founder, Prof Gregory Ibe, the Abia state governorship candidate of APGA, will flag off the exercise in a colorful event that will take place at Obimba Hall, Amaekpu Ohafia. It is envisaged that the Abia state Deputy governorship candidate of APGA and member representing Aba South in Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Obinna Ichita will lead members of the Abia APGA State Working Committee and other distinguished personalities in flagging off the outreach”.
The statement revealed that the seven-day outreach would cover different locations in Ohafia, Arochukwu, Bende and Isuikwuato Local Government Areas, while that Umunneochi will be treated exclusively in a subsequent time .
The statement therefore urged those in area with health challenges to avail themselves the opportunity offered by the exercise.
