IKORODU, Lagos, Nigeria – A 22-year-old man, Abdulahi Ibraheem was today arraigned before Magistrate T.A Shotobi of the Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for allegedly stealing two Bajaj motorcycles worth N740,000.

The police arraigned Ibraheem on two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, contrary to Section 411 and 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State  2015.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecutor, Inspector Christian Okonofua, told the court that the defendant committed the offence in March at Sabo area in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Okonofua said, “The defendant conspired with others at large and stole two Bajaj motorcycles entrusted in his care by the complainant, Aminu Mutali.

“Mutali reported the matter to the police and the defendant was arrested.” Magistrate Shotobi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She said that one of the sureties must be a blood relation of the defendant. Magistrate Shotobi, adjourned the matter until July 28, 2022 for mention.
