LONDON, UK – Ifeoluwa Otedola, the celebrated disc Jockey and daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola is in tears. But why will the daughter of a billionaire that has every good thing at her beck and call be weeping.
She is weeping for a very good reason, being able to conclude her final year thesis. On two occasions, she contemplated dropping out of Oxford University just because of this thesis, which she has finally completed.
She is so drained, physically and emotionally that the Jelato queen is not thinking of a party to celebrate this grand feat. She wants to rest. Besides, she is neither looking for flowers nor respect from anyone.
“I have earned it”, she said like the Agama Lizard as we have it in African literature.
She relates her experience
Tears of Joy, the wait is finally over. My thesis is finally 100% done. Not sure, why weeping is my reaction right now.
I am so drained right now that it actually feels so difficult to celebrate. Over the past few weeks, I have pushed myself so much, both mentally and physically to actually finish this degree. Truth fully, this has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. This paper alone has made me want to drop out of Oxford University twice.
I have done something only a few can do and I don’t need to ask for anyone’s respect or flowers – I’ve earned them. People keep asking where the party is? LMAO I need to rest and rebuild. It is important to understand that when you have worked as hard as I have for a project like this, you get so fatigued and partying is the last thing on your mind.
I am thankful for all the people who have supported me and proud of myself throughout this process. Lastly, I am thankful to God who has been with me the entire way”, she wrote.
