UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – A Frontline  Governorship Candidate in Abia State on the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Prof. Gregory Ikechukwu Ibe on Wednesday paid the bills of all patients at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Umuahia.

Prof. Ibe who visited the hospital and on noticing the challenges and plights of those patients decided to pay for all their medical  bills.

His mission to federal medical centre was fact -finding so that Abians and none Abians could have good and quality healthcare service in the state. Speaking during the visit, Prof. Ibe said , he has decided to bring hope to the hopeless to appreciate what God  has done him.

According to him, it gives him joy putting smiles on the face of those dried faces that come across him and he will continue to do so to the glory of God.

Ibe said that God has helped him to be where he is now and he would  continuously serving through the service to humanity and being  loyal to His words. He prayed for quick recovery of the sick ones so that they can go back home and meet their families

This gesture has elicited reactions from the good people of Abia residents who have expressed gratitude to the governorship candidate.

One Mr. UCHE Okereke said that Prof. Ibe’s  visit to medical centre and subsequent payment of their bills was an expectation of what he would be doing if elected the governor of the  state.

According to him, there is still hope for NdiAbia and by God’s grace the state shall regain its glory. He stated that Abia was not christened God own state for nothing , noting  that God was about to do  great things for the state.
