LAGOS, Nigeria – Youths in Nigeria are this Saturday, May 21, taking the unparallel momentum they have gathered on the social media for a Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Mr. Peter Obi to the streets in a 1 million man march, tagged” Give Us Peter Obi”.
The youths who will be staging the march in jeans and a white T-shirt are staging the march all over Nigeria in support of Peter Obi, who, they believe remains the best candidate in the PDP vying for the highest office of the land.
Other notable candidates of the PDP include, former Vice President , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Senate Presidents, Alhaji Bukola Saraki, Mr. Pius Anyim Pius, Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Bauchi State Governor Mr. Bala Mohammed among others.
The youths, who have adopted Peter Obi, believes it is only with Peter Obi that their aspiration for a better Nigeria will be realized.
They are also using the march to appeal to PDP to enable them to give the ticket to Peter Obi to enable them fight for their future. Ironically, Peter Obi is from the South where PDP initially zoned the ticket before jettisoning the arrangement.
“We march because we want a better future for ourselves & our children, born/unborn.
“We march because we want Peter Obi to give us that elusive fighting chance”, the youths said in a statement sent by Nefetiti@firstladyship.
