LAGOS, Nigeria – The family of the pretty lady, Deborah Yakubu who was lynched by irate Muslim youths in her school, Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto may have been abandoned by government at this moment when they needed consolation, for losing their dear daughter in a school where students take laws into their hands.
Deborah was pelted by fellow students and set alight in broad day light and the school, with all the security details and policemen at their disposal watched this helpless lady take her last breathe in a burning fire just because she belongs to a different religion.
But they have not been forgotten entirely. The ray of hope came neither from Sokoto, nor from their home state Niger State but from Lagos, specifically from the Founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere.
He has succeeded where government has failed woefully. He has empowered the family in a number of ways. The Apostle who initially offered educational scholarship abroad to Deborah’s immediate younger brother after contacting the family announced a second package of 14 flats mini estate as donation to the family in addition to Toyota Corolla for the family to use for Uber business.
“I donated a 14 flats mini estates and a Corolla car for Uber business to the family of the slain Deborah samuel. Fully sponsored through tithes and offerings in OPM church”, he said on Twitter.
Earlier he had a dinner at Golden Tullip, Lagos with the family before announcing the empowering package.
“Do you remember the girl that was killed for alleged Blasphemy? Today 24 May 2022 I fulfilled my promise. I give GOD all the glory because today 24 May 2022, GOD has used me to remove poverty from their generation forever. All glory be to God Almighty”, he said.
