LAGOS – Nigerian youths on Saturday, May 21, 2022 made good their pledge to carry out #1millionmanmarch in support of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Mr. Peter Obi, by trooping out enmass to march for him.

It is the first time that the Nigerian youths are taking their massive support on the social media into the streets, to show their unwavering support for Peter Obi, whom they have adopted as the best candidate out of the lots that both the PDP and ruling All Progressive Congress APC have paraded.

Among the ranks of the youths were even people who are physically challenged, all holding very high and keeping  the flag of Peter Obi, a very detribalized Nigerian flying.

The youths adopted him after perusing his intimidating credentials https://starconnectmedia.com/2022/01/peter-obi-releases-intimidating-credentials-as-youths-call-on-him-to-vie-for-president/?swcfpc=1

, impeccable records of public office, his selflessness and love for humanity besides his unassailable passion to fix Nigeria and turn things around,  from a consuming nation to a productive machine, his popular slogan has been, “There is nothing more to share in Nigeria”.

The youths staged the #1millionmanmarch for Peter Obi in a peaceful manner all over the 35 states of the federation including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, holding Peter Obi’s banner, and distributing flyers of the young man as they go along the streets.

They are disenchanted by what they see in Nigeria, with the Naira crashing to N590 to the US Dollar, inflation at its highest rate and high rate of unemployment; inability of Nigeria to refine petrol even with four refineries with over N1,4 trillion expended on turn around maintenance without any result.

“This is taking place without Peter Obi giving anybody one kobo”, the youths have said, and they have said they will  freely campaign for him if the PDP takes him as candidate of the party.

In his tweet a day before the nationwide march, Peter Obi, who has metamorphosed into a god for the youths, a messiah of the Nigerian economy encouraged them to maintain law and order and be peaceful in carrying out their mission to rescue Nigeria from money bags, and many whose interest in politics is nothing but self aggrandizement.

“As we march today, please remember Peter Obi’s tweet yesterday. “Please obey the law.” We’re different, let’s show it. I wish us safe march today. #1MillionMarch4PeterObi”, Anayo Ella said.

Another youth Sodiq Tade said, “The one million march for Peter Obi is great as this will further boost the 2023 election awareness. This is probably first time in a long time that volunteers would be out in more than 20 States campaigning at the same time for an aspirant.

“The message is now on the street”, he said as Peter Obi’s campaign gains more momentum among the Nigerian youths.
