How Apostle Suleiman wrecked my life after paying Timaya, Clarence Peters – Stephanie Otobo
LAGOS – Nigerian musician , Stephanie Otobo has revealed how General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleiman wrecked her life as soon she returned to Nigeria and concluded a musical deal with then rave of the moment, Timaya and celebrated producer, Clarence Peters.
Stephanie who was speaking on Instagram also blamed the pastor for her slow profile in music adding that she did everything that would have made her one of the biggest female art in the industry at this moment.
“When I came back in March 2017, I had a music collaboration with Timaya, paid him Naira 3.5 m. He hooked me up with Clarence Peters for the video shoot. We never released the song because Apostle Johnson Suleiman arrested me two days prior to the video shoot”, she said.
She said that the policemen that Apostle Suleiman sent to arrest her took her phone where the songs were stored, including evidence of her romantic history with the Apostle Suleiman, “all of these was to clean the tracks and silent me”, she said, stressing that the effort failed woefully, because she had some evidence saved in her ipad besides, the photograph she took with Timaya on Instagram.
“Just two days to my video shoot…. my friend that linked me up with Timaya came down from Canada that month”, she said, stressing that Apostle Johnson Suleiman, whom she demonized as a Juju apostle locked “both of us for 3 days without bail”, she explained, noting that this development prompted her to speak out at the initial stage against her wish.
Stephanie Otobo said as a result of this ordeal, she lost the song she paid N3.5 million for a collaboration with Timaya, and her consequent lost of focus in music.
“I was troubled with oppression and a court case activated with bribery”, and that she was flying down from Canada twice every month for the court case. “My lawyer said I must not sleep in Nigeria, I have to go back after every sitting. Omo, it was mad, I don see something sha, until I got exhausted and stranded.
She said that seeing her ordeal, Apostle Johnson Suleiman convinced her to make a false confession that she lied against him.
She said the musical star, Timaya neither refunded the N3.5 million nor was he ready to retake the song, because of the scandal. “I understand though, I was in a scandal with a high profile person like Apostle Johnson Suleiman. He was just trying to avoid trouble but he would at least encouraged me with half of the refund. It’s well”, the said to console herself.
She said she equally paid Clarence Peters N1.5 million balance and that he asked her to come shoot whenever she is ready. “This was just the beginning of this Apostle Johnson Suleiman going heartless on me because he wanted to do damage control of his dirty character. He didn’t even care what I went through”, she related.
Stephanie Otobo said till date, she is yet to get her phone from the police. “If it wasn’t for my ipad, I would not have been able to save any receipt. I supposed be blown in music by now”, she said, regretting that unfortunately, she became famous for negativity.
