Atiku: I pledge to unify Nigerians if elected

ABUJA, Nigeria – Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has pledged to unify Nigerians and resolved both economic and security problems confronting Nigeria.
Atiku made the remarks in his acceptance speech at the MKO Abiola Stadium after the PDP convention.
“I pledged to unify this country, hence I referred myself as the unifier, the reason unity is important is because the government of APC has disunited Nigerians, North, South, East and West, Muslims and Christians.
“I will work to restore unity, and give a sense of belonging to every Nigerian irrespective of state and religion. I will deal decisively with insecurity and to deal with the economic problem, caused by APC.
“The PDP made Nigeria the best economy in Africa but APC destroyed it. Therefore, in deepening our democratic processes, it is a well thought out primary processes.
“I look forward to working with you to build the party to a level that we can take over government’
“ I appeal to aggrieved members to please return to our party, we are ready to make sure that their grievances is resolved within the party”, he said, adding that there are internal mechanism for resolving disputes instead of going to the various law courts and getting contradictory judgments. It will not augur well for our party.
“Our party is a very democratic party, please let us remember the poor people, the ordinary people of this country, let us work to resolve most of their challenges if not all of their challenges.
“This party will wax stronger by the day”, he said.
