AWKA,  Anambra – Sokoto State Governor Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal on Saturday lamented the killing of Miss Deborah Emmanuel (Yakubu) at his home state. He assured that such unfortunate incident would not happen again in the state .

Tambuwal stated this in Anambra state while wooing  People’s Democratic Party PDP  delegates ahead of the Presidential primary of the party, ahead of Sunday.

He  said that the incident does not reflect the true nature of Sokoto people contending that Sokoto people are peace loving people.

“The incident about the killing of Deborah Emmanuel (Yakubu) is very -very unfortunate and this does not reflect the true nature of Sokoto people. We are peace loving and law abiding people and our administration in Sokoto state does not discriminate and we do not want to know where you come from.

“We have an education scheme that pays school fees for children in public schools in primary and post primary schools in the state and we do not care if you are from Anambra Abia or Rivers state.

“We give everyone equal and fair treatment and we also have a health scheme that ensures free and quality health delivery policy and it is not for only Sokoto people alone but people from any part of the country.

“We also have a lone scheme for people who are into agriculture to the tune of N4 billion and twenty percent of that loan is set aside for people who are not from Sokoto State,  he said.

Tambuwal also said that the insecurity problems in the South East is occasioned by the agitations of the Igbo people who are not happy with the unfair treatment against them by the APC led administration in the country.

According to him,  the key political appointments by the APC government did not represent the interest of Igbo people.

“Look at the key appointments by the APC government and you would discover that the South East was treated unfairly. President is from the North the Vice President from the West even the Senate President and Speaker House of Representatives as well as National chairman of the party , there is no Igbo man there” he said

He also recalled the relationship between Anambra state and Sokoto state which was made manifest by the relationship between Late Shehu Shagari and late Alex Ekwueme in the second Republic stressing  that his administration as President would rekindle that old relationship and also run an all inclusive government.
