OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria – Nollywood Queen, Rita Dominic is married to his heartthrob, Fidelis Anosike, after remaining single for decades. She and Fidelis are stepping  out as couple just about a week after she had her bridal shower which was well attended by selected colleagues in Nollywood.

Rita Dominic, often referred as the saint of Nollywood as a result of the way she has conducted herself in the industry is having her grand traditional marriage in Imo State. Rita Dominic is a rare gem that has been able to keep herself clean, from all the atrocities associated with the industry.

For long, she lived a coded life, without any romantic attachment to anybody. Even when she decided to settle down for  relationship, she kept it top secret until she decided it was time to make it public.

Rita Dominic is one of those that hold the credit for what is today known as Nollywood, where  the likes of Zeb Ejiro, Chico Ejiro,  Opa Williams, Lancelot Imasuen, Tade Ogidan, Emem Isong, Late Amaka Igwe,  Fred Amata, Teco Benson , Gab Okoye aka Gabosky, Chris Obi Rapu, Ken Nnebue , Fidelis Duker and Hellen Ukpabio held  sway.

Her contemporary actress were  the likes of Omotola  Jelade-Ekeinde, Kate Henshaw, Ramsey Noah, Anne Njamanze, who played Domitilla,  Empress Njamah, Aquilla Njamah, Saint Obi, Ngozi Ezeonu and Victoria Nyama among others.

Rita Dominic hardy spoke to the media probably due to her shy nature, couple with an introverted personality, but not in the movies. She currently produces and acts in personal films.

Now  47, she was born Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic. She has won several awards, among which is Best Actress in 2012 courtesy Africa Movie Academy  Awards. Fidelis Anosike is the Publisher of Nigeria’s oldest newspaper, The Daily Times. He is 56.
