Military intercepts N100 million paid as ransom on hostages

KANO, Nigeria – The Nigerian military has intercepted the sum of N100 million in Kano alleged to have been the ransom money collected by bandits for the release of hostages.
The money according to military sources was uncovered following a special operation carried out by the Nigerian military following repeated attacks on the nation by terrorists.
The money was abandoned aboard a red Volkswagen van that was conveying eggs with registration numbers FGE 959 TC, Kano.

Recall that bandits few weeks ago invaded the Kaduna Airport, where they killed and prevented the airport from operation.
Just about a week later, the bandits again invaded a Kaduna bound train during which they killed and took so many passengers hostage.
