COVID19 deaths now over 5.7 million globally as Nigeria lists 58 cases

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 58 new cases of COVID19, bringing all time cases to 253, 838.

But out of the 253, 838 total cases,  230,  211 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 139 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with  20, 488  total cases of COVID19 pandemic.

There are now 400, 284,112 total cases of COVID19 pandemic worldwide, 5, 761,692 patients have passed on, while 10, 095, 901, 713  doses of  Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide  based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 77, 038, 965 COVID19 cases, while 908, 571 patients have kicked the bucket, followed by India, which has reported 42,339, 611 all time cases, while 504, 062 patients have perished and Brazil, which has documented 26, 776, 692 all time cases, while 634, 057 patients could not make it alive.

France remains the 4th country most hit by COVID19 pandemic, reporting 21, 174, 600 all time infections, while 134, 609 patients could not make it alive, followed by the United Kingdom which has documented 18, 054, 855  all time cases, while 159, 218 patients could not make it alive and Russia, now reporting 12, 946, 888 all time infections and 329,951 deaths.

Turkey is still the 7th country most hit, with 12, 446,111 registered cases of COVID19, while 89, 211 lives are no more, followed by Italy with 11, 765,767 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 149, 512 patients are no more and Germany, which has reported 11, 411, 464 total cases of infections and 119, 023 deaths.

Spain has been pushed down to the 10th country most hit by COVID19, reporting 10, 439, 302 total cases, while 94, 931 patients could not make it alive and South Africa, the most afflicted country  in Africa. South Africa has documented 3, 626, 014 all time cases and 96, 289 deaths.
