Novak Djokovic returns to Serbia
BELGRADE, Serbia – World number 1 tennis star, Novak Djokovic has arrived his home country, Serbia after being deported by the Australian authority, following his visa cancellation. He landed in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
Novak Djokovic was in Australia to take part in the Australian Open, which kicks off today in Melborne but his visa was revoked twice by the Australian authority due to his refusal to take Coronavirus vaccine.
He was initially exempted by organizers of the Australian Open but he was denied entry open arrival and moved into a quarantine hotel.
Novak Djokovic won in court but the Australian Authority insisted that he did not meet requirement for medical exemption into the country. His visa was cancelled for a second time and deported to Serbia.
