OWERRI, Imo, Nigeria – Former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha has warned Nigerians not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Okorocha who was referring to the 2023 election said on the social media that a time comes in history when decision that would alter the course of time are to be made, adding that such decisions are not to be made in rush.
“These are epoch-making periods where decisions are not to be made in a rush. Fellow Nigerians, this time is soon to be upon us. We must do all we can to not repeat past mistakes”, he warned.
Okorocha who has been taciturn for while now said these are not times for frivolous decision-making but that these are times when Nigerians must make rational decisions based on evidenced antecedents”, he warned, adding “together we can make this nation great again”.
“A time comes in history when decisions that would alter the course of time are to be made. These are epoch-making periods where decisions are not to be made in a rush.
“Fellow Nigerians, this time is soon to be upon us. We must do all we can to not repeat past mistakes. These are not times for frivolous decision-making.
“Rather these are times when we must make rational decisions based on evidenced antecedents. Together we can make this nation great again. Together… We will”, he said.
He said that yesterday, “in accordance with the right granted me in the 1999 Constitution as a citizen of Nigeria to vote and be voted for, I wrote a letter to the Senate declaring my intention to vie for the position of the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023”.
He explained that over the years, his passion has always been to create “The New Nigeria we all desire. This passion has seen me serve in various government-level capacity to the applause of my people each time. I would be making an official declaration publicly by 11am on Monday the 31st of January, 2022. Together we can make Nigeria great again”, he said.
