Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 146 cases 2 deaths

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 196 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 214, 513.

But out of the 214, 513 total cases,  207,  403 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 980  others are no more, leaving Nigeria with 7030 active cases of Coronavirus, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

NCDC: 196 new cases of COVID19Nigeria:  Lagos – 138,  Rivers – 23, FCT – 18,  Imo – 15, Bauchi -1, Gombe -1: 214,513 confirmed;  207,  403 discharged; 2, 980 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 264,709, 360 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5,240,453 patients have passed on, while 8, 113,937, 212 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting  48, 918,222  confirmed  cases of Coronavirus, while 786,898 patients have kicked the bucket, followed by  India, with 34, 615, 757 total cases and 470, 115 deaths, and  Brazil, which has reported  22, 118,782 all time infections, while 615, 179 patients are no more.

The  United kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 10, 438, 059  all time cases of Coronavirus, while 145,874 patients are no more alive, followed by Russia, which has registered 9, 565, 909 all time cases, while  273,463 patients are now dead and Turkey which has documented 8, 841, 861 all time cases and 77, 230 patients are no more.

France is the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 927, 361 all time cases and 120, 440 deaths, followed by Iran, which has reported 6, 129, 199  all time cases, while 130,066 patients have passed on and Argentina, now reporting 5, 335, 310 all time cases, while 116,617 lives have been wasted by the pandemic.

Spain is the 10th country most hit, reporting 5, 202,958 total cases and 88, 159 deaths and South Africa, now reporting  3,004,203 total cases, while 89, 944 patients are no more.
