Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 21 deaths, 1305 new cases
LAGOS- The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1305 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 236, 014.
But out of the 236, 014 all time cases, 212, 357 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 014 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 20, 643 active cases, while 21 patients died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC:1305 new cases of COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 705, Oyo -234, Ondo – 88, Kaduna – 79, Rivers – 78, Ogun -30, Anambra -25, Kano -24, Enugu -12, Ekiti – 11, Jigawa – 6, Osun – 6, Plateau -6, Zamfara -1; 236, 014 confirmed; 212, 357 discharged; 3, 014 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
.There are now 279, 383, 321 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 396,005 patients are no more, while 8,922,407,917 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 52,088,725 total cases of infections, and 816, 445 deaths, followed by India, which has reported 34, 779, 815 total cases of infections, while 479,520 others could not make it alive and Brazil, with 22, 234,623 total cases of infections, while 618, 655 others are no more.
The United Kingdom is the 4th country with the highest cases of infections, reporting 11, 958,928 total cases, while 148,324 others have passed on, followed by Russia with 10, 189, 722 total cases and 297,223 deaths and Turkey, which has documented 9, 268, 486 all time cases, while 81,258 others have been killed.
France is the 7th country most hit, now reporting 9, 192,843 total cases of infections, while 123,531 others have passed on, followed by Germany with 6, 999, 103 reported cases of infections and 110, 317 deaths and Iran with 6, 182,905 total cases, while 131, 348 patients are no more.
Argentina remains the 10th country most hit with 5, 445, 236 all time cases and 117,008 deaths and South Africa, most hit by the virus in Africa. South Africa has reported 3, 407,937 total cases and 90, 773 deaths.
