Coronavirus: Active cases in Nigeria drop to 3845

LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 21 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 214, 113.

But out of the 214, 113 total cases, 207, 292 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 976 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3845 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic.

There are now 261, 978,819 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 205,121 patients have passed on while 7,637,714,421 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 48,375, 997 all time cases, while 777, 745 patients have passed on(161, 637 new and 1559 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34,580, 832 total cases of Coronavirus, while 468,790 other patients could not make it alive(8309 new and 236 deaths#), and Brazil, which has registered 22, 080, 906 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 614, 278 patients are no more(4043 new and 92 deaths#).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit, reporting 10,244,538 confirmations, while 145, 253 patients have died from Coronavirus(42, 235 new and 35 deaths#) , followed by Russia, which has reported 9, 436, 650 all time cases, while 268,705 patients could not make it alive (33, 170 new and 1178 deaths#)and Turkey, which has reported 8, 748, 025 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 76, 446 others could not make it alive(21, 655 new and 213 deaths#).

France has reported 7, 731, 351 all time infections, while 119,997 patients have died (8319 new and 122 deaths#)and Iran, which has registered 6,113,192 all time cases, while 129, 711 other patients have passed on(4311 new and 82 deaths#) and Argentina, which has documented 5, 326, 448 all time cases, while 116, 529 patients could not make it alive(888 new and 12 deaths#).

Spain remains the 10^th country most hit with 5, 153, 923 all time cases, while 88, 008 patients are no more(22, 911 new and 53 deaths#) and South Africa, still the most afflicted country in Africa. South has documented 2, 963, 679 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 89, 822 patients have kicked the bucket(2273 new and 25 deaths#) .
